About me:

Gaspar Battha creates works in the fields of new media art and technology, visual design, interaction design, motion graphics and projection mapping. Also currently making his master in advanced new media at the University of Arts (UdK) in Berlin.

I was born in Budapest (H) whereafter I lived in Bergen (N), Vienna (A) and Berlin (D). I started my creative progress with graphic design, painting, video and animation. After working for a while with video and projections I became more interested in it's relation to physical space and I started to experiment with projection mapping techniques. Together with other artists and different agencies I realized numerous projects within this field, designed light shows, concert, party and theater visuals, various installations, from artistic purposes to advertisement. Many of my works are inspired by the relation of virtual and physical, as this duality is increasingly affecting our life. During my studies in Vienna and Berlin I became more and more interested in new media and the relation of art and technology. I see this field as a base for innovation, as to take computational knowledge and use it to design objects, tools, interaction, aesthetic or whatever our needs necessitate.
