Allure de Wonderland

Interactive video-installation
Angewandte - Wien, 2009

Allure de Wonderland' is a computer generated optical illusion.

It is inspired by the Alice in Wonderland story and more particularly the so called “Through the Looking-Glass” phenomenon, a mirror that connects the real and the imaginary world. It is a digitalized version of the looking-glass, with the goal to combine real and non-real spaces by concentrating on their tangibility.

Practically a tunnel is projected into the existent architecture, extruding the physical space into virtuality. As a visitor passes by the installation, the perspective of the virtual tunnel is automatically set into the right angle, according his/her position.
